Sara Silver & Craig, her husband, showed us around the new buildings and lodges at Camp Eberhart in Three Rivers, Michigan this Saturday. A group of camp people who knew Amy donated a good sum of money to put in a bench in a shelter on the waterfront where Amy worked. Also, they will improve the equipment for water sports building next to it, and build a stone enclosure with a bronze plaque with an inspirational message Amy wrote when she left Camp for Arizona in 2000. Damien, Guerin, Bob, and Sara and Craig came into town for family weekend at Eberhart. They came from Washington, D.C., New York, Indianapolis, and somewhere else... I can't remember. They are all mature, intelligent young people who have changed since the days they worked with Amy in 2000. It was a little emotional for Mike and me, but what a tribute to our daughter that so many people loved her.

Sincerely, Kathy

Jon

Hi,

Ihave been waiting and waiting to hear from Eberhart again about Amy's memorial on the waterfront. Brice, the director, wrote and said they are short of help, and will be starting on it soon. I was under the impression that they started by now, and it is very frustrating to Mike and me that nothing is being done. I was going to get on Camp EB website and see if anything is being started, and if not, I think we should go up there and build ourselves. The money is sufficient, and they could pay someone to do it if they didn't re-do their equipment building, in my opinion. Some relatives haven't given to the memorial because I told it may never get built, and to hold off on their donations.

We are having a bad today, as you can tell.

Love to all of Amys friends, stay in touch with us please.

Mrs. Krueger

Aunt Kathy if there is anything I can do to see ont he progress of the memorial let me know. The maintenance guys Bob and Jamie liked me a lot this summer and would always do me little favors for me. I know for a fact that the communication between Brice, the ladies in the office and Bob and Jamie is not very good. Jamie and Bob are great guys and they new and liked Amy a lot and assured me that they will make the memorial fabulous. I just hink the communication up there is not so good. SOme of my friends are working the outdoor education programs at camp right now. SOme of the year round staff, I can try and give them a call and see what all is going on up there right now. Who knows, with all theerosion problems up there maybe camp is in the lake and they are dealing with that, haha, but I will try and get a hold of my friends and see whats new up there. Hey and I owuld be happy to go up there one weekend and talk to John or Brice and visit some friends, I am looking into working winter campa few days so I know I will be up there winter break sometimes too. Anyways, I just thought I would let you know. SO if you need any help let me know! Ashley

Jon,

Glad to know you are still around. I haven't talked to Brice for awhile, but he said it would be Labor Day weekend, maybe he means Sat. or Sun.

We were up there for Mass last month, and her plaque is on the back of thewaterfront bldg., and it didn't impress me. They said that
eventually her plaque will be put on a stone pillar, but they are going to make changes on the beach, and so for now it is on the bldg.

I will try to remember to post when it is when I find out.

I have two weddings that I am doing all of the flowers and arrangements for this weekend, the l9th, so I am busy with
that. I had a large wedding last week, and one the 26th of August, then I can relax for a couple of months before one in October.

Chris raised over $7,000.00 for the Suicide Prevention and Awareness Council of St. Joe County on July 29th and 30th.
I didn't think it would affect us the way it did. It was in memory of Amy, and that brought everything back again.

We've been calling Katie by Amy for the last two weeks. She doesn't mind.

Bye,

KK

Hi,

for everyone who is interested, the dedication of Amys' memorial will be around 12:15 on Sunday, Sept. 3rd at the waterfront at Camp Eberhart, Three Rivers, MI. There is family camp going on, so they will be at lunch while we have our little ceremony.

Love,
Kathy Krueger

my name is Brian Hamm. I dated Amy in high school. After school, I moved back to Kansas and had only seen Amy for a couple hours (in like 2000) since then. Just today (Nov 7, 2006) I heard of Amy's death, and to say the least I am terribly saddened. I can barely think of what to say!!! She has been a daily, beautiful thought in my mind for years and years now! since she left Granger(in her red Geo Tracker!) the day she moved to Bloomington for college. 14+ years ago. I really am really having trouble dealing with this news, I'm soo sorry to ALL who had the pleasure to know Amy. I have only one picture I can submit to the website and that is of me and her at prom==I'll have to locate it, but I'll get on it A.S.A.P for all to see. I'm truely heartbroken to hear this news!

Dear Brian,

I am sorry that you found out about Amy.

We are really having a hard time living each day without her. We have that picture of Amy in her red dress going to the prom with you.

I don't who told you, or that they said that she had insommnia for 6 years and no Doctor said it was depression. Her brother, Chris found her and to this day he cannot talk about her. You certainly sound very mature now.

Thank you for writing.

Love,
Kathy Krueger
